Heat production is one of the biggest costs and emission sources in industry. TheStorage has developed a thermal energy storage technology that changes this entirely.

The principle is simple: ordinary sand stores energy. The system charges when electricity prices are lowest and delivers high-temperature process steam on demand. Our sand-in-motion technology achieves heat transfer rates up to ten times higher than static alternatives - cutting operating costs by up to 70% compared to fossil fuels and reducing emissions by up to 90%. Every system is scaled and optimized to fit the customer's process.

Founded in Tampere, Finland in 2023, TheStorage runs a pilot plant at Nokian Panimo, producing fossil-free process steam for the brewery's production lines.
