FROM LEARNING TO LEADING – HYDROGEN AT VAMK

How could hydrogen and Power-to-X become part of your or your company’s future? At VAMK University of Applied Sciences, we combine education, applied research and industry collaboration to create practical solutions.

Meet us at ENERGIA 2026 and discuss topics such as:

  • education and competence needs related to hydrogen and Power-to-X business
  • student projects and theses that can be used to assess the technical feasibility and economic viability of hydrogen solutions
  • co-development and new business opportunities. We are currently looking for industry partners to develop business models for off-grid and offshore hydrogen production together with us. Collaboration provides companies with new insights into revenue opportunities, investment profitability and market entry strategies.

Coastal Hydrogen Innovation Hub – Kristinestad

Hydrogen investments require not only technology, but also skilled professionals and a strong regional ecosystem. In a joint project by VAMK University of Applied Sciences and Business Kristinestad, we are building capabilities to support future hydrogen investments in Kristinestad. We develop hydrogen-related education modules and strengthen collaboration between educational institutions, industry and other stakeholders – with the aim of ensuring that the region has the expertise needed for the future.

OptiDCG4H2 – Hydrogen from Offshore Wind Power

Could hydrogen be produced offshore in a system independent of the electricity grid? The OptiDCG4H2 project explores off-grid hydrogen production based on offshore wind power. VAMK is responsible for the techno-economic modelling of the system, assessing its technical performance, costs, investment profitability and the impact of different variables.

Does your company have expertise, technology or a business idea that could play a role in the future hydrogen economy? Come and talk to us – let’s explore opportunities for collaboration together.
